Grocery Sales Week of October 5, 2009

Kroger is having another MEGA EVENT (buy 10 things get $5 off).  However the list in the ad isn't very interesting.  Recent prices with coupons were cheaper.

Meijer is having a store brand sale.  Many items are decent prices if you don't usually use coupons.  However I'm not including them on this list, because I'm a coupon shopper.  So, flip through your ad and see if there's anything you need to stock up on.  Not sure if your family will like the store brand?  Give one a try -- if you don't like it, Meijer will refund your money.  And yes, I've taken them up on this guarantee a few times.

Also, don't forget that all through October, Meijer is having Frozen Food Month -- store coupons are available in last week's ad and at www.meijermealbox.com.  Couple these coupons with manufacturer's coupons and sale prices throughout the month to maximize savings.

Thanks to  www.moneysavinghabits.com for this grocery list. She will post more grocery sales for Jungle Jim's, IGA, Cub Foods, and more throughout the week.
