West Chester U: Emergency Preparedness
West Chester Township Public Safety officials will offer their second installment of West Chester University, focusing on emergency preparedness. The class will be hosted by Miami University at the new VOA Learning Centre on Cox Road. The one-night class is 7 to 9 p.m. on March 3.
“The class is specifically designed to teach residents and business owners how to prepare for an emergency,” said Public Safety Director Jim Detherage.
“In the case of a significant disaster you may have to manage on your own for a time until help can arrive. This class will prepare you for that possibility.” Speakers will include representatives of the police and fire departments, as well as The American Red Cross and others.
